The Material Science Institute of Madrid, ICMM-CSIC, aims to generate cutting-edge knowledge on materials and processes crucial for addressing societal challenges
September is college's new year, but some people are ending their season. That is the case of Víctor García Gisbert, who is defending his Ph.D. thesis 'High Spatial Resolution Nanomechanical Mapping of Materials: From Proteins to Magnetic Media' at Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) on 1st September. The show will be at 4 pm (Spanish peninsular time). It can be watched via zoom.
Mario Accolla, from The Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (INAF) in Italy, and Alejandra Traspas and Jin Zhang, from Queen Mary University in London, will produce silicon oxide nanoparticles in our unique machine.
The European Physical Society highlights her contributions to the electronic structure of low-dimensional materials and her actions for the empowerment of women in physics. The diploma is given this Monday, November 21, at ICMM.
Gago is a research professor at interdisciplinary studies based on nanoscopic systems (ESISNA), Aranda is a research scientist in nanostructured hybrid, biohybrid, and porous materials group and Ricote is a tenured scientist specializing in electroactive oxides for smart devices.
