  1. Felipe Gándara and Clara López win the Sagrario Martínez Carrera and Xavier Solans prizes from the Spanish Chemical Society

     The researchers work at Multifunctional and Supramolecular Materials Group, at ICMM-CSIC.

    El investigador, catedrático en la Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, da una interesantísima charla en el ciclo Colloquia del ICMM.

  3. Beatriz Pérez, new PhD at ICMM, wins the 'Yo investigo. Yo soy CSIC' award

    Beatriz Pérez González, who recently got her PhD at the Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM), CSIC, and the Complutense University, has been chosen as one of the winners of the IV edition of the 'Yo investigo. Yo soy CSIC' competition, organized by the Graduate Department of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The prize includes a monetary award of 3,000 euros, which will be used to finance research stays in international groups.

  4. Victoria Sánchez, Daniela Fernández, Raúl Orviz and Lucía Cañada win the I Concurso de Nanocientíficas en 60 segundos award

    El I Concurso de Nanocientíficas en 60 segundos, organizado por el Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid (ICMM), CSIC, en el marco del Festival de nanociencia y nanotecnología, 10 a la menos 9, ya tiene sus primeros vídeos ganadores. Victoria Sánchez Rodríguez, Daniela Fernández y Raúl Orviz y Lucía Cañada se llevarán a su casa una tablet después de lograr la máxima puntuación otorgada por el jurado del certamen.

    The VII edition of the course «Emergence of Quantum Phases in Novel Materials» opens its registration period. The event will take place from September 11th to 15th, 2023 at the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid (ICMM), CSIC.

  6. Researchers investigate how boron-doped diamonds reach a state of "superconductivity"

    A collaboration with the participation of the Material Sciences Institute of Madrid (ICMM), CSIC, has studied the behavior of diamonds irradiated with boron ions and their possible applications.

  7. Chemist Ali Coskun visits the Materials Science Institute of Madrid

    The researcher gave a lecture entitled 'Porous Materials for Energy and Environmental Applications' and met some of the scientist groups at ICMM.

    Gloria Platero, ICMM's researcher, participates in this Roundtable Discussion during the International Quantum Matter Conference 2023.

  9. The paleontologist Ignacio Martínez Mendizábal joins the ICMM Colloquia Cycle with the talk 'Svante Pääbo, a revolutionary of Human Evolution'

    The researcher, a professor at the University of Alcalá de Henares, will talk about the work of Svante Pääbo, Nobel Prize in Medicine 2022.

  10. A new theory explains superconductivity in twisted trilayer graphene

     The study, conducted by scientists from the CSIC, lays the foundation for understanding the mechanisms of certain unconventional superconducting materials.
