School on Techniques at Large Facilities for Biomedical Applications

The Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) is organizing this School on Techniques at Large Facilities for Biomedical Applications. The event will take place at the ICMM facilities on September 24th, from 9h00 to 17h00 PM and it is organized within the framework of the Severo Ochoa and Max Programs of Excellence. 

This school is aimed at students, early-career researchers and established researchers interested in the use of large-scale scientific facilities for biomedical applications. Its primary objective is to provide a practical, up-to-date overview of various techniques available at large-scale facilities, including synchrotrons, specialized facilities and advanced analysis platforms, with a particular emphasis on their application in the biomedical field.

If you join this event, you will be trained in:

- Raising awareness of advanced techniques available at large-scale scientific facilities.
- Promoting the use of these infrastructures in biomedical research.
- Facilitating contact between potential users and expert scientific staff.
- Fostering interdisciplinary training across Physics, Materials Science, Biology and Biomedicine.
- Driving future national and international scientific collaborations.
