According to the CSIC's Multiannual Action Plan, international scientific collaboration is critical for addressing society's worldwide concerns and positioning the CSIC as one of the most appealing organizations for performing science in Europe. With this general goal in mind, the main responsibility of the ICMM internationalization Commission is to generate ideas that improve the ICMM's position on the international scene.
In order to achieve this goal, several strategies have been devised: i) Encouraging the participation of ICMM researchers in international projects, ii) reinforcement of foreign senior visitors program, iii) attracting researchers and students from other countries to work at ICMM, iv) strengthening international scientific collaborations to improve the visibility of ICMM and to become a leading center for Materials Science in Europe, v) providing ICMM permanent staff and students updated information about mobility and exchange programs.
