The commission aims to increase the Institute's visibility by showcasing its researchers and sponsoring scientific conferences. It also works to attract young scientific talent.
This committee has several tasks related to the following topics:
1. Awards for Scientific Excellence. Considering the method used to present candidates, the committee acts as follows:
- announces and encourages applications when applications can be submitted by candidates.
- selects the ICMM candidate when the application can be submitted by the ICMM Director.
- proposes the ICMM candidate to VICYT when the application must be submitted by the CSIC.
- Assist in the preparation/submission of documents
2. Conference sponsorship: In collaboration with the center's management, the commission is up-dating the protocol to allocate any available resources for co-funding scientific events.
3. Attracting scientific talent: In collaboration with the Training and Seminars Commission, the goal is to coordinate efforts to recruit master's and undergraduate students from the first years of their studies, using JAE-Intro and similar programs.
