ICMM Newsletter 7 - December, 2025

This 7th edition of the newsletter reflects the dynamism and vitality of the ICMM scientists. In this issue, we provide a summary of some of the most significant events supported by ICMM, among many others. You will find relevant articles written by our scientists, covering our main research topics. In particular, we highlight several applications of various 2D materials, such as their use in simple electronic devices, their development for clean energy technologies, and how strain engineering is being applied to explore novel functionalities.
We are at a time when many project calls are focused on innovation. At ICMM, we are dedicated to fostering an entrepreneurial culture among our young researchers and encouraging interactions between our scientists and industry. A key result of this effort is the Technology Transfer Committee, which, alongside the ICMM’s OTC and prototyping laboratory, reflects our strong commitment to innovation.
