Over a three-day event, scientists explained to high-school students the science conducted within the European framework.

Pint of Science will take place at Café Manuela, Moe Club, Taberna Hamburg Exargia, Citynizer and Café Gijón, from 7PM to 9PM on May, 13, 14, and 15.

Two doctoral networks, two postdoctoral fellowships and one citizen put the ICMM in the cutting edge of the European science.

This is the fifth award for the researcher, who received his PhD in 2022 from the Material Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) and the Autonomous University of Madrid.

Álvaro Jiménez and Rui Silva led two studies published in Nature that demonstrate a new theory for light manipulation with intense light pulses in bidimensional materials. These works carried out at the scale of femtoseconds, a billionth of a second, could be key to optimizing the capacity of these materials in information processing

The study, led by IMNA with participation from ICMM, is a worldwide milestone and has potential applications in technological devices that require a defined magnetic field, such as a computer's RAM memory.
