Abstract: The environmental challenges associated with pollution and resource depletion have driven the development of sustainable chemistry, in which catalysis plays a central role. In this context, heterogeneous catalysis has attracted considerable attention, with porous materials emerging as highly promising catalytic platforms owing to their stability, recyclability, and efficiency. Furthermore, photocatalytic processes enable chemical transformations to be carried out in a more sustainable manner by harnessing solar energy.
On this basis, this thesis focuses on the synthesis and characterization of several porous organic polymers (POPs), which have been employed as photocatalysts in a variety of reactions, including CO₂ reduction, glycerol acetalization, and H₂O₂ production.
