Meet Álvaro Campos, member of Maintenance department

Álvaro Campos Balsera comes from Madrid and joined the ICMM on July 2025 to take part of Maintenance Services department. He handles every general repair and every new installation at our institute along with Javier Ortiz, the Maintenance manager, and José Flores, also part of the maintenace staff We asked him some questions to know him better. 

What have you worked on so far?

I’ve been doing the same sort of work: general maintenance, mainly as an electrician

What will you be working on? 
I’ll be working on repairs and building troubleshooting issues.

Why ICMM?
Because I was already familiar with the campus and they had a vacancy when I went through the selection process.

And on a personal note: any hobbies? 
Well, to be honest, I really enjoy sports and science fiction films and TV series.

What would you like to contribute to the institute?

I’d like to use my experience to help ensure everyone works in the best possible conditions.
