Tarik Bada

We have a new colleague at the ICMM. He is Tarik Bada El Filalin, and he comes from a small town near Barcelona, Cardedeu. He has joined the Nanomagnetism and Magnetization Process Group as a PhD researcher.

What have you worked on so far?

I have worked in the neuromorphic field for the las two years in both my bachelor and master thesis, in the MIND group at UB and in the MESSI group at IMB-CNN, focusin on the behavior of memristors, an emergic electronic device.

What will you work on? With whom?
I will mainly work on creating antidot paterns fabricated by printing, in order to study reservoir computing.

Why ICMM?
When I came to visit the instalations and labs last April, I was stunned by the knowledge here. I think it is a great step in my career, and working with such great minds will make me grow both personally and professionally.

And a personal touch: any hobbies? What would you like to contribute to the institute?
I love endurance sports like running, cycling, swimming and hiking in the mountain. I also like to play videogames and hang out with my friends.
