News at ICMM

  1. The ICMM hosts the 'proERC' event to promote the participation of CSIC personnel in European Research Council calls

    Evento ProERC
The event took place on Monday, September 16, and attracted nearly fifty registered attendees.
  2. Olga Arroyo is defending her thesis: "Contributing to more fundamental research is also very exciting"

    Olga Arroyo
She started her PhD alongside Leonor Chico Gómez, currently working at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
  3. Jorge Marqués, new doctor at the ICMM: "I feel I can contribute with novel ideas in my field"

    Jorge Marqués
"As I want to continue my scientific career, I will go do a postdoc (in Germany) to explore the emerging field of 3D nanomagnetism and gain international experience", he sais.
  4. ICMM researchers eliminate microplastics from water with iron oxide nanoflowers

    Nanoflores sobre microplasticos
Research staff has developed a green and energy-efficient process to eliminate microplastics from cosmetics. The method removes contaminants from the water and degrade them until they disappear, which has great applications in waste treatment plants.

  6. How nanotechnology can help medicine against neurodegenerative diseases

    Irene Palacio con un biosensor
The ICMM-CSIC reviews advances in these techniques and their contributions to these diseases.
  7. Researchers create a new method to increase the energy generated from seaweed
