The Material Science Institute of Madrid, ICMM-CSIC, aims to generate cutting-edge knowledge on materials and processes crucial for addressing societal challenges
The VII edition of the course «Emergence of Quantum Phases in Novel Materials» opens its registration period. The event will take place from September 11th to 15th, 2023 at the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid (ICMM), CSIC.
A collaboration with the participation of the Material Sciences Institute of Madrid (ICMM), CSIC, has studied the behavior of diamonds irradiated with boron ions and their possible applications.
The study, conducted by scientists from the CSIC, lays the foundation for understanding the mechanisms of certain unconventional superconducting materials.
A study involving ICMM-CSIC demonstrates a system with great potential for new quantum computer prototypes. It is the first time that these hybrid qubits have been demonstrated in a controlled manner using a quantum dot system.
A study with the participation of ICMM shows that "bubbles" of grains of dust and molecular gas are formed in the atmosphere of this carbon star depending on their direction.
