Paula Pérez Rey joins 2D Foundry as a new JAE Intro researcher

Paula Pérez Rey jonied the Material Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) last October and she will spend six month working with the 2D Foundry group thanks to a JAE Intro grant. She is from Bergondo (A Coruña) and studied Chemistry at University of Santiago de Compostela. 

What have you worked on? 

I've worked on research on molecular magnets in the "Coordination and Supramolecular Chemistry" research group at USC while completing my TFG.

And now, what will you do and with whom? 

I just joined the 2D Foundry Group, we I'm working with Carmen Munuera and Jorge Quereda in the Manufacturing and characterization of optoelectronic devices based on 2D materials.

Why did you choose ICMM?

I really believe that the experience of working at this institute, and specifically in a group as large as 2D Foundry, will give me a different perspective on professional research in materials science and will open interesting doors for me in the future.

Ans a personal touch: any hobbies?

I love reading and watching films.
