AlejandroSanchez

Alejandro Sánchez Baca is from Granada and he comes from the agri-food sector, but now has just joined the ICMM to be part of the Knowledge Transfer Office. He's s big fan of numismatics and music.

Where do you come from?
I am from Granada, but I have been in Madrid for almost 6 years.

What have you worked on so far?
Until now, I have worked in the agri-food sector: food quality and safety in industry, knowledge transfer, and research into new prebiotic sources.

What will you work on? With whom?
I will work in the ICMM's Knowledge Transfer Office, alongside Laura and Alejandra, to bring the technology developed at the ICMM to society.

Why ICMM?
I had the opportunity to return to work in Knowledge Transfer at this leading research center, and I didn't hesitate to embark on the adventure. It's not my sector, and that motivates me especially. Sometimes, great ideas often come from interdisciplinarity.

And a personal touch: any hobbies?
Apart from the classic hobbies of traveling and reading, I am fond of numismatics and music. I am also often involved in activist, neighborhood, and local movements.

What would you like to contribute to the institute?

I would like my work at the ICMM to be reflected in the transfer to society of the technology developed at the research center. It is the last link in the chain of science, and the one that gives meaning to all the research work.
