December is coming and this 2022 we want to end the year with books, but inclusive books. From the Salvador de Aza Library (ICMM-ICP-ICV), a space for reading and book recommendations related to equality and diversity is inaugurated: 'Inclusive Science in the Library'. Every Thursday in December you can enjoy the recommendation of a book linked to science and inclusion that you can find in the center. The objective is to encourage the staff of the institutions to borrow these and other similar titles.
Starting this December 1, on the occasion of Diversity Day (December 3), the librarian Yolanda de la Peña proposes reading 'Heroes of diversity: Why organizations need to bet on inclusion' (Gestión 2000, 2019). This is the mini-review: Reading it helps to understand, in terms of inclusion and diversity, relationships in the private and corporate spheres, and which variables put our empathic capacity and perception of the "other" to the test. The necessary bet of the text, can remind us of the final verse of the poem "Los justos" by Jorge L. Borges: "Those people, who ignore each other, are saving the world."
