María López Eustaquio is a very smiley young researcher who started her PhD at the ICMM last September. She is from Salamanca, and she joined the Advanced Force Microscopy Methods and Optomechanics group to work on a project that consists on bacteria detection using optomechanical resonators.
Where do you come from?
I come from Salamanca, where I did my Physics degree. Last year I was in Granada, where I obtained my masters in Nanotechnology.
What have you worked on so far?
I have worked as a private teacher for children teaching maths and physics.
What will you work on? With whom?
I am in a project that consists in bacteria detection using optomechanical resonators.
Why ICMM?
I have always wanted to be a scientist and investigate in physics, and I think ICMM is a good place to do that.
And a personal touch: any hobbies? What would you like to contribute to the institute?
I like sports like volleyball and padel and also reading.
