Workshop

The Madrid Institute of Material Science (ICMM-CSIC) and the SustainableNano Network (SNSSN) launch its first workshop entitled Nanomaterials for sustainable energy production and storage

The event will take place next 7h April, from 09h to 18h, at the ICMM Lecture Hall. The day will combine in-person sessions in the ICMM-CSIC with virtual attendance, but is needed a registration.

This workshop is sponsored by the SNSSN and the Severo Ochoa and Max-CSIC projects of the ICMM-CSIC. All of them will bring together leading researchers to explore how nanomaterials are transforming the energy landscape towards more sustainable models.

Throughout the day, which will be chaired by Pilar Aranda, Pedro Serena y María González, key advances will be addressed in areas such as batteries and their recycling, safe supercapacitors, superconductivity, thermoelectrics, triboelectrics, photonic nanomaterials, photovoltaic technologies, CO₂ capture and storage, and hydrogen technologies.

The programme is structured around the impact of materials on the generation, conversion, transport, storage, and efficient use of energy, reflecting the breadth and strength of the research driven by the SustainableNano Network in the field of nanomaterials.

The full programme is available and will be updated in the event page.

The workshop will conclude with a roundtable discussion on the future of energy and the strategic role of materials, featuring contributions from institutional representatives and experts from the scientific and technological sectors.

The registration form is available here and the deadline for it will be next 30th March at 09AM. We would be delighted to have you join us at this day.
