Elianne Morant Molina is from Cullera, a town south of València, and he has just joined the ICMM as technician at the Scientific and Technical Services Unit. On a personal note, he loves astronomy and photography.
What have you worked on so far?
Last year I worked at the CSIC Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnología del Carbono with a training contract as a lab technician in the USCT within the textural characterization service. I also did the training contract for professional practice at ICmol within the Supramol group.
What will you work on? With whom?
I will be working at the X-Ray Diffraction service with Felipe Gándara and Fátima Esteban and also at the Textural Characterization service with Javier Pérez, Sandra Martinez and Evelin López.
Why ICMM?
I chose the ICMM because I was interested in working in research and being part of a team that contributes to scientific progress. As a laboratory technician, I like knowing that my work in the lab plays an important role in helping research projects move forward. I also value the opportunity to keep learning new things and continue developing professionally in such a dynamic environment.
And a personal touch: any hobbies?
I’m quite interested in astronomy, I love staying awake with my telescope and looking at different objects in the sky. Recently I started doing astrophotography but it's something I need to get better at. Also I like hiking, reading books, visiting museums, classical music concerts and photography, especially nature photography.
What would you like to contribute to the institute?
I would like to contribute to the institute by supporting researchers in their daily work and helping them achieve their goals. I enjoy helping people, working as part of a team, and making sure everything runs smoothly in the laboratory. I believe that, as a laboratory technician, I can make a positive contribution by being reliable, collaborative, and always willing to help others.
