Alessandro Perluzzo Patete joined the Nanotrib group in November as an JAE Intro student. This program offers grants at CSIC centers aimed at university students interested in starting a research career.
Alessandro born in Venezuela but he came from the Canary Islands. We met him to know a little bit more about him!
What have you worked on so far?
Not much, this is my first experience in research!
What are you working on? With whom?
Energy dissipation and friction at the nanoscale. I am working with Guilherme Vilhena.
Why ICMM?
A friend of mine talked to me about it. He convinced me that ICMM was an outstanding place to start my research career .
And a personal touch: any hobbies?
I love films! My favorite one is Wall-E(2006)
What would you like to contribute to the institute?
I hope I can use my creativity to try new things in nanotribology, the field I am working in at the moment.
