Dr. Sigmund Kohler is working on the theory of quantum technologies with a focus on quantum transport and quantum dissipation in semiconductors, superconductors, and hybrid systems. He is author of more than 100 publications in international journals, which includes a review on quantum transport in ac-driven nanoscale conductors. He is editorial board member of The European Journal of Physics B and Scientific Reports and editor of two special issues. Among his achievements are an exact solution of the dissipative Landau-Zener problem, the development of various Floquet techniques for open quantum systems, and the prediction of noise control and ratchet effects in quantum transport. Moreover, he has provided theoretical support for various experiments with solid-state qubits
