According to the CSIC's Multiannual Action Plan 2022-2025, international scientific collaboration is critical for addressing society's worldwide concerns and positioning the CSIC as one of the most appealing organizations for performing science in Europe. With this general goal in mind, the main responsibility of the ICMM Internationalisation Commission is to generate ideas that improve the ICMM's position on the international scene. In order to achieve this objective, two strategies have been devised: i) Encouraging the participation of ICMM researchers in international projects and ii) attracting researchers and students from other countries to work at ICMM.

Likewise, we have recently launched an International Visits Program whose aim is to encourage the internationalization of the activities of ICMM through the promotion of its relations with institutions from other countries. To this end, it is proposed to invite to visit ICMM -expenses paid- to directors of centers, heads of R&D departments or group leaders from, for instance, research organizations, universities, technology centers, companies, funding agencies, foundations, etc. The purpose of these visits will always be to establish the basis for future collaborations between ICMM and these organizations, enhancing the international positioning of ICMM.
The ICMM Internationalisation Commission is integrated by the following researchers, belonging to the different CSIC research categories. In addition, a person will soon be hired to set up a support office for European projects, which will also assist this Commission.
