ABSTRACT: In short, the thesis explores theoretically distinct mechanisms of light-magnetism coupling at the ultra-fast time-scale,
with the aim of displacing, nucleating and overall manipulating magnetic textures in the shape of domain-walls and magnetic-domains.  These textures can essentially be thought as basic units of information which could find a practical application in future magnetic-based memory or logic devices. The use of fs-ps laser to manipulate these magnetic patterns  makes the idea attractive for technologies beyond the 5G era. Although progress has been made in this direction, it still constitutes a formidable experimental challenge to analyze this light-magnetism coupling at the nanoscale, which motivates our alternative theoretical approach.
