WHAT: Control nonlinear dynamics in optomechanical reservoirs using machine learning for next-generation neuromorphic computing. You'll work with cutting-edge optomechanical systems, combining theory and experiment in quantum control and nanophotonics.
WHERE: ICMM-CSIC, Madrid - newly awarded Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence with world-class facilities and advanced nanofabrication capabilities.

WHO: Supervised by Dr. Xi Chen (quantum control & machine learning) and Dr. Pedro David García (experimental optomechanics).
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Physics, Photonics, Engineering or related field (≥300 ECTS), strong optics/photonics background, interest in ML and control theory, plus EU citizenship or Spanish residence permit.
CONDITIONS: Full-time PhD contract (up to 4 years). Gross salary: from ~1,515 €/month (year 1) up to ~2,029 €/month (years 3-4). ~6,860 € for PhD tuition and international research stays. Planned start: Late 2025/Early 2026 -- strict deadlines apply!
