QianQian Wu

Qianqian Wu is a new predoctoral researcher at the Material Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC). She is part of the 2d Foundry group, where she is starting her PhD research after coming from Jiangsu Province, China. Her plan is to focus on two-dimensional (2D) materials photodetectors and she aims to enhance the performance of photodetectors for 2D materials.

What will you work on? With whom?

I will study the effect of straintronics on key performance parameters of photodetectors for 2D materials; and enhance the performance of photodetectors for2D materials through strain engineering.

Why did you choose ICMM?

I want to learn more about the field of strain engineering and expand my research horizons. ICMM has excellent scientific researchers, and the group of  Prof. Andres Castellanos-Gomez has rich research experience in the filed.

And a personal touch: any hobbies? What would you like to contribute to the institute?

I like to work out and have no other hobbies other than that. I hope to work with experts in different fields to learn more and achieve good scientific results.
