Juanjo Riquelme

Juanjo Riquelme, a former researcher at the Material Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC), is back home: " I have enjoyed my past time at the ICMM and I love to come back to join this group in this research avenue", he says. After spending some time working in the R&D department at Scienta Omicron Technology, Taunusstein, Germany, he is now again working at 2D Foundry Group.

What have you worked on so far?

I have a strong experience designing, building, and testing prototypes of Scanning Probe Microscopes: Design and testing of  AFM/STM at low temperature, in UHV, in magnetics fields; MFM at low temperature;  Design and testing of patterning machines in UHV a room temperature; 2D Materials; prototyping of scientific equipment.

What will you work on? With whom?

IPS: Carmen Munuera and Andres Castellanos Gomez; PhDs Yigit Sozen and Esteban Zamora in the Roll2D project and collaborate with the 2D Foundry members

And a personal touch: any hobbies? What would you like to contribute to the institute?

I change hobbies frequently. I was into baking but I would love to start a more healthy hobby :) . I love to help people so I am always up to give a hand. Just pop in at 068 room and we can share a coffee and discuss
