    Miguel Muñoz Rojo, a researcher at ICMM-CSIC, participates in an international study highlighting the opportunities of these devices. The Spanish scientist is working on thermal modulators to improve battery performance thanks to an ERC Consolidator grant.
  4. Researchers create a new material to obtain green hydrogen more efficiently and could replace Helium

    The Madrid Institute of Materials Science (ICMM-CSIC) and the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) are leading a study that improves the development of clean technologies. The new material has potential applications for more efficient water hydrolysis and exhibits a magnetocaloric effect, making it a potential substitute for Helium, a noble gas 'endangered' in its applications as a cryogenic liquid.
  5. A new, stronger, and more eco-friendly technical paper is designed for use in art, publishing, or luxury decoration

    This new high-strength paper can withstand up to five tons of pressure without the need for pre-moistening.
  6. CSIC's researchers open the door to revolutionizing quantum technologies through artificial intelligence and cold atoms

    CINN, ICMM and INMA are participating, together with the Computer Vision Center (CVC), in a project funded with nearly two million euros by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

    For two months, the institute welcomed Ibrahima Gning, a Senegalese researcher who has been working on the application of natural polymers in the manufacture of supercapacitor devices.
