Ensuring equality is based on verifiable data and figures. For this reason, at the Equality Commission, we carry out, every year, statistical analyses of the situation within the center and in comparison with the rest of the CSIC. These figures are updated each summer with data from the previous year.

 According to the data on ICMM personnel by category as of June 2024, the percentage of men exceeds that of women across all scales, except for Scientific contract for PhD, where the number of women has grown compared to men. The gap between men and women has widened in favor of men in the Tenure scientist and Research Professor positions. The remaining scales exhibit a trend similar to the previous year.

 Figure 3 reveals a shift in the participation of women and men as speakers in ICMM seminars and courses, with a higher female representation compared to previous years. While not equal, the ratio is currently 60-40 in favor of men. As in the previous year, a smaller proportion of theses are completed by women.

The overall number of seminars given at ICMM demonstrates increased female participation. However, the disparity between male and female participants in IFIMAC-ICMM seminars (formerly known as theoretical seminars) remains significant.

 There is an increased participation of male PIs in National research grants. Conversely, European and Enterprise research grants show fairly equal participation. Excluding European grants, women consistently receive lower average funding than men across the remaining grant categories.
