The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, IEEE, the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity, has elected Oksana Chubykalo-Fesenko, a researcher at the Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC), as IEEE Fellow for "her contributions to the development of multiscale methods for modeling of thermal magnetization dynamics". Fellow is the highest grade of IEEE membership and is recognized as a prestigious honor and an important career achievement.
"On behalf of the IEEE Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to inform you that Oksana Chubykalo-Fesenko has been named an IEEE Fellow effective 1 January 2025," says the press release of the organization.
The grade of Fellow is conferred upon IEEE Senior Members "with outstanding records of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest". Each year, "this honor is limited to no more than 0.1% of the total IEEE voting membership," explains the note.
