Esteban Betegón, Fátima

Dr. Fátima Esteban Betegón has been a member of the ICMM X-Ray Diffraction Service since the end of 2019. She is in charge of the daily management of the service's diffractometers, giving support to all users, and performing measurements on single crystal equipment, and textures. Since the completion of her doctoral thesis (2000-2004), Dr. Esteban has acquired extensive experience in crystallization techniques and characterization using different diffraction techniques as well as experience with numerous types of crystalline materials. She gained international experience working for more than a year at the ESRF (The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility) in Grenoble (France), increasing her knowledge in the use of X-rays for the advanced characterization of materials. She has been trained as a technician in occupational risk prevention by the National Institute of Safety and Health. She is currently part of the ICMM Equality Commission since its inception in 2018.
