The Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC), part of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), has just published the list of finalist videos for the 3rd edition of the "Women Nano Scientists in 60 Seconds" contest. This short video competition is organized by ICMM-CSIC as part of the 10th Edition of the 10alamenos9 Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Festival and the activities of the SustainableNano network. The selection includes 22 clips evaluated by a panel of nearly a hundred people from different fields of knowledge.

Now it's time to choose the winning video—this year, there will be two winners: one in the general category, who will receive a tablet and a diploma funded by the CSIC Delegation in the Community of Madrid, and one in the sustainability category, who will receive the same prize, funded by the SustainableNano network. Additionally, the educational center associated with the winning video in each category will receive a collection of popular science books related to nanoscience and nanotechnology.

The selection of the winning videos will be carried out in two parallel ways:
- First, the video with the most 'likes' on YouTube by May 22, 2025, at 2 PM (Spanish peninsular time) will be chosen.
- Second, a jury composed of a dozen renowned experts in science and/or science communication will vote among the finalists.

The winning video in each category will be determined by combining both voting results.

The jury's final decision, along with the titles of the winning videos, will be announced during the last week of May. The contest organizers will contact the participating educational centers to coordinate the award ceremony.
