The ICMM's International Scientific Advisory Board meets our research groups

The International Scientific Advisory Board of the Material Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC), an extended group of renowned experts in different aspects of Materials Science and Engineering, visited our centre last week and had meetings with the ICMM's research groups.

During those meetings, our research groups presented their main research lines, strategic plan, and envisaged actions to the experts. They, with a wide vision and management experience, had the chance to discuss directly with the researchers and, after this, they will give them some advice to improve the science and management of the group, and as a consequence of the ICMM's performance.

"Also, another mission of this panel is to advise the directorate about possible measures to maintain scientific excellence, internal organization, and strategic actions", explains José Ángel Martín Gago, ICMM's director. He and his team were present during all the meetings that took place from September 18th to 20th.

The members of the SAB who attended at the meeting where: Karsten Horn , Camilla Coletti, Silvia Vignolini ; Luis Liz Marzán and Tapani Ryhanen ,  Amos Martínez ,  and Elisabeth Giaconino. The reports will be forwarded directly to the group.
