Abstract: My talk will be about the experimental and theoretical results we have obtained recently on magnetic single layer crystals such as CrSBr. Each individual CrSBr crystal layer acts like a small magnet with a ferromagnetic ground state. However, antiferromagnetic coupling is preferred between the layers in multilayer CrSBr material. Magnetic single layer crystals, which are important for their usability in nanoscale spintronic device applications, have easy-tunable magnetic properties, on the other hand, they exhibit anomalous doping-dependent electronic properties. Experimental data also show that organic molecule-based doping stands out as a cheaper and more effective doping method compared to alkali metals. It is clear that it is possible to understand the anomalies observed in experimental measurements reliably by using density functional theory-based calculations.
