The CSIC launches the 5th edition of the CAMINO Program (Career Mentoring Initiative for New Opportunities) for predoctoral researchers in their third year, interested in broadening their professional horizons. CAMINO is developed taking the REBECA program, developed by FECYT, as a starting point
The CAMINO program has been conceived to broaden our researchers’ professional environments and outcomes, as well as to provide them with a wide variety of networking options and services inside and outside academia.
Through CAMINO, they can benefit from the experience, contacts, and skills of professionals who will help guide them toward new opportunities within their careers.
For six months, CAMINO will pair up predoctoral researchers with experts working for business organizations or public administration. The participants (mentors and mentees) will receive initial mentoring
CAMINO is completely voluntary for both mentors and mentees and will be conducted online. The program is based on active listening and empathy, in a climate of trust within a framework of respect and confidentiality.
