What is a Synchrotron? What techniques can be found in this facility? How are they used?
The ICMM Synchrotron Radiation School organized by ICMM-CSIC in collaboration with the Spline beamline at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) in Grenoble (France) is an initiative that will give a general overview of the characteristics and potential of synchrotron radiation to ICMM Ph.D. students and young researchers interested in its use.
The School includes lectures by scientists with long-standing experience in the use of synchrotron radiation on specific topics and techniques and practical classes on each experimental technique currently available in the Spline beamline (BM25). Detailed info and agenda are here.
Participants are limited to 6 and will be granted (course, trip, and stage at ESRF) by the ICMM. PhD students and junior postdocs are prioritized. Candidates must have a contract with a Spanish institution during the School period.
