Best practices manuals

The ICMM's Equality Commission has produced these five documents of best practices in different areas of science. With the help of illustrator Lucía Beltrán, these guides have been created with the aim of facilitating work on equality.

In the Equality Commission, we collect on the website the regulations that apply to us as a CSIC centre, which depends on the MICIN. These regulations must be complied with, but in the end it is not very practical to incorporate them into our day-to-day work and improve our ability to be inclusive. For this reason, we thought it would be better to draw up best practice guides to serve as a reference to improve our inclusiveness in the specific scientific activities we carry out .... and we have bothered to prepare them with a beautiful and visual design to help us remember these "best practices" and really incorporate them into our professional life.

The documents are not compulsory decalogues, but rather a series of recommendations that aim to help scientific staff at different stages of their careers: from the organisation of inclusive conferences to recruitment processes, including the dissemination of science in an inclusive way.
