An expert in materials chemistry, her activities focus on the design, synthesis and characterization of hybrid and biohybrid materials for advanced applications, many of them developed from natural resources such as clays and biomass. She counts with relevant contributions in the field of polymer-clay and carbon-clay functional nanocomposites, bionanocomposite materials and nanoarchitectured systems based on sepiolite and other clays.
