I have worked on a wide range of problems in condensed matter physics. My PhD (2005) was devoted to strong electronic correlations in mesoscopic structures, Luttinger liquids and granular materials. I then did a postdoctoral stay in Karlsruhe University, where I delved into the physics of spin-qubits, dissipation and geometric phases. I also began working on graphene, which became my main research activity during my second postdoc in Lancaster University, and remains a strong focus today. Back in Spain (2009), I returned to CSIC, where I got involved in the study of topological materials in general, and topological superconductors in particular. I am a tenured member of the group since 2017.
