The Governing Council of the State Research Agency has approved the First Gender Equality Plan for the R&D&i funding activities of the Agency.

The National Society of Black Physicists 2020 Conference, will be held on November 5-8, 2020. It will also be virtual!
This conference is the largest academic meeting of minority physicists in the United States. The goal of the conference is to provide mentorship opportunities, increase participant access to recruiters, offer networking opportunities and inform the broader physics community on best practices that will be gleaned during and after the meeting

Scientific productivity of women during confinement

Teresa Rodrigo Anoro, Professor of Atomic Physics at Cantabria University, died April 21st. She was an internationally recognized physicist in the area of particle physics, and also a reference in gender equity for her defence of the role of women in science, particularly in physics. She pionereed many leadership areas, opening the path for women in fields with traditional male dominance. She was member of the Specialized Group of Women in Physics, that belongs to the Spanish Royal Physics Society (http://www.gemf-rsef.es/). The ICMM express sincere condolences for this sad loss.

Researchers from the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) have presented the Laboratory of Discrimination and Inequality (D-Lab). This laboratory provides the necessary infrastructure to carry out experimental field research in the field of social sciences on discrimination in the labour market. Its managers hope that the D-Lab will become a centre of reference in the study of discrimination in Europe.
