NanoCarma research groupWe are a research group working on the nanocharacterization of materials. We are interested on the interplay between the micro- and nanostructure and the properties of materials. We have a large experience on various advanced techniques for the characterization of materials at the microscopic scale, such as transmission electron microscopy (TEM, HRTEM) and associated spectroscopies (X-EDS, EELS, ...), optical spectroscopies, Raman microspectroscopy, and neutron diffraction. The Transmission Electron Microscopy Service and the Raman Microscopy Laboratory are managed by members of our group.
Our group belongs to the
Department of Energy, Environment and Sustainable Technologies of the
Materials Science Institute of Madrid (CSIC).
The name of our group comes from 'nanocaracterización de materiales,' which means nanocharacterization of materials in Spanish.
