High frequency studies and Ferromagnetic Resonance

Studies have been first focused towards Giant Magneto-Impedance, GMI, effect in ultrasoft non-magnetostrictive magnetic microwires in the range of 0.1 to 10 MHz.

More recently, and after the adquisition of a Network Analyser equipment, studies have been extended to Ferromagnetic Resonance studies in the microwave frequency range (nominally up to 20GHz). These studies have been performed in single and biphase magnetic microwires.

It is noticeable to mention that additional absorption peaks are ascribed to the presence of second magnetic phase. Such peaks evolve in general with applied magnetic field following expected Kittel equation.
