  • 2 IR Spectrophotometres are availables:
    • Nicolet FT-IR 20SXC (4000-400 cm-1) 
    • Bruker IFS 66V-S (10.000-50 cm-1)

With them we can analyze solid, powder, and liquid samples by transmission and refexion ( mirror, difuse, and weakend) in dry air, nitrogen, and vacuum atmosphere.
The spectral range goes from the far infra red (50 cm-1) upt to the visible (18.000 cm-1)

Description: The service processes the materials as received from the customer in order to prepare the samples for the IR spectrophotometres.

  • Static probe for the study of single-crystal for nuclei 31P-109Ag (162-18 MHz).

Description: Its technical characteristics allow to perform several types of experiments:

  • Static experiments between -130 and 130ºC.
  • MAS experiments between -70 and 90ºC.
  • Decoupling experiments for proton and fluor.
  • CPMAS experiments with proton decoupling.
  • MQMAS experiments for quadrupolar nuclei.
  • Meassurements of diffusion coefficients.

Description:The techniques can be grouped in three categories:

  • Single crystal cutting with disk diamond saw or poliurethane with incorporated goniometre.
  • Single crystal orientations by X-ray Laue diagrams (with a precision of 0,5 degrees).
  • Single crystal polish until optical finish.

Equipment: The texture ananlysis laboratory has the following eqipment: Micrometritics ASAP 2010, Coulter Omnisorp 100 y Micromeritics Flowsorb 2300, for gas adsorptions and vapors on solids, and the recently acquired Poremaster Series Quantachrome Instruments for porosimetry measurement by Mercury intrusion on porous solids.

Description: The textural standard sample analysis is performed by N2 adsorption at 77 K.

  • a. Single Point method.
  • b. By analysis of the zone of relative pressures up to 0.35 and application of the BET method to the results.
  • c. By analyzing micro and mesoporosity through the N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm.
