I am a staff scientist
Materials Science Institute of Madrid
(CSIC) since 1988,
first as a Research Associate and since 2006 as a
Research Scientist (Investigador Científico).
I received my
Ph. D in Physics from the
Autonomous University of Madrid in 1986.
Afterwards I worked abroad for a total of four years
at the University of Hamburg,
the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research
in Stuttgart, and the
IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center in New York.
I have published about 100 articles and books in the field of optical properties of materials.
I am in charge of the
Raman Microscopy Lab.
